About Colette

Colette Durphey has engaged in creative writing since she was thirteen years old. She was fascinated by the alphabet and how the string of words, sometimes long, short, or strung together quickly by her, like wild stallions galloping on the beach sand as the wind tangles their manes, could be tamed and combed through to make sentences into paragraphs and then stories. Since then, she’s been an administrative assistant who never lost her storytelling love. Her first book, Notes from a Villa in Santorini, debuts from Pegasus Books. She is currently on her next book, Tight Leak. She lives with her husband in Ortonville, Michigan.
